Bevan James Eyles has been an Ironman for the last 4 years. In his first race he stumbled across the line, like most first timers, in just under 11 hours. Over his time he has grown as an athlete, getting his time down to 9:19:34. He turned Pro in March 2007 at Ironman New Zealand.
Outside the sport he is New Zealand’s top group fitness instructor, winning the Life Fitness New Zealand Group Fitness Instructor for 2005 and 2006.

John Newsom has been a triathlete for over half his life and now runs a successful triathlon coaching business in Christchurch, New Zealand. After winning the junior section in his first ever triathlon John was hooked. He went on to represent New Zealand and then to compete as a professional athlete around the world.
These days John is focusing more on his coaching business but still managed a respectable 10th place at Ironman New Zealand in 2005 in 9hrs04mins. John also runs Epic Camps with Scott Molina and Gordo Byrn - two of the best names in the business.
